We are getting close to the 2007 Heisman Trophy award ceremony and I cant wait. Previous years have seen bigger names but there is plenty of talent in this years finalists. Florida QB Tim Tebow is the dual threat who has broken many QB records for scoring…with his feet, plus he is only a sophomore and no sophomore has every won the award. Hawaii QB Colt Brennan is the most prolific passer in College Football history.  Missouri QB Chase Daniel had an awesome year and has led his school to the BCS. Finally, Arkansas RB Darren McFadden, last years Heisman runner-up had another stellar season and proved why he is the top back in college football.  With all of those names I just have to wonder what happened to players like Brohm, Slaton and Rice? That is why you play the season.

So who do I think will win the trophy? My money is on Tebow to run away with it, he has the stats, the name and the school. I think Brennan will come in second followed by McFadden and Daniel. You know what is scary? With Tebow being only a sophomore he would easily be next years favorite…not bad.
