Ok so this is my first blog I have ever written which is pretty amazing since I have opinion on everything (usually backed by no real facts either) just ask anyone that knows me.

To stay focused somewhat I am going to talk about Uconn basketball but since the football is a hot topic and I went to the game on Saturday let’s start there. First let’s start with “boy I was wrong” when I spoke a couple years ago about how Uconn will never be good because we don’t “grow’em” big enough and strong enough in CT. This year had changed that.

UConn is seeing football success with a great mix of CT talent and recruiting out of state talent (basically just how Calhoun built the basketball program). Saturdays win gave me the same feeling in my gut I have for Uconn basketball and showed me how wrong I was. Kudos to the team and coach for doing that. I am truly looking forward to the Rutgers game and the rest of the season. Basketball is right around the corner but right now I am pretty excited about the prospect of a bowl game.

Once again Uconn has filled the hole in the CT sports arena and it’s great.
