Will his last pass be an interception in one of the biggest games of his career?  That is what it appears to be.  Brett Favre, according to reports, has informed Mike McCarthy that he will be putting to rest that famous gun-slinging arm of his.  I am not a Packers fan, but there is no player in the league I enjoy watching more than Brett Favre.  I am sad to see him go.

The rumor going around is that Favre is disappointed in the Packers not pursuing Randy Moss aggressively enough.  Supposedly, Favre was will to commit to multiple seasons if Moss would climb aboard the Pack Attack.  If this is true, Favre may be doing this out of frustration, which could pass.  Again, if it is true, then the Packers made almost as big a mistake as the Falcons made many years ago when they traded away Favre.

After guys like Roger Clemens and Michael Jordan, I will not assume that Favre is retired until he is not on the field for game 1.  I am hoping this is just a knee-jerk reaction because I know Favre still has some gas in the tank.

If Favre is indeed retiring, then it is a sad day in football.  No one played the game like he did.
