Florida State University will announce this Monday that current Offensive Coordinator Jimbo Fischer will replace current coach (and legend) Bobby Bowden when he retires. FSU will also extend Jimbo’s current contract for 3 years with a salary of jsut over $1 million per year. If for some reason FSU does not name Jimbo (I love saying that) coach, the school will owe him a multi-million dollar settlement.
With no exact date set for Coach Bowden’s retirement this can be viewed as an obvious attempt by FSU to lock in their offensive coordinator from leaving for a head coaching job somewhere else. It is rumored that Jimbo has been contact by
