After a game in which he produced very little, embattled running back Ricky Williams has sustained a torn chest muscle.  Williams was hurt Monday at Pittsburgh, when he played in his first game in nearly two years. He returned following a 1½-year suspension for his latest violation of the NFL drug policy. Williams was injured in the second quarter Monday on a play when he fumbled. After being tackled, he was accidentally stepped on while chest-down on the ground. Williams left the game, returned briefly and departed for good after one more carry. He finished with 15 yards in six carries, and the Dolphins lost 3-0 on a last-minute field goal. This brings to discuss the current status of the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins are in an immediate downfall, and until they can find an good offensive strategy, they will stay in that funk.  One major hit to the Dolphins offense was the injury of stable running back, Ronnie Brown.  I think once Brown comes back into the mix, that their offense will be more rounded and they could pull off plays like old days. And once they can find a dependable quarterback, they are well on their way to mediocrity.  They can also manage the clock better, in many games this year they have lost many opportunities at winning games.

Now back to Ricky Williams, although I feel that he has no place in professional football at all; it was nice to see him give professional football another try.  Before the whole "enlightenment" part of his life began, he had a nice thing going with the Dolphins but I guess your career can’t be everything. I hope that he finds success in his life beyond his career and will continue to live a life that he is proud of.
